Turn It Up Tuesday: Your Interactive Radio Playlist

If you’ve ever wanted to control the playlist on a radio station, Turn It Up Tuesday on The Heavy is your night.

Every Tuesday, Mandy opens the request lines and hands the music over to the listeners. Instead of a pre-programmed playlist, the show is powered by real song requests, dedications, and shoutouts from the Sound Crew.

It’s interactive radio the way it used to be — but built for the internet generation.

Listeners tuning in from across Australia and around the world can submit their favourite songs through the request widget or chat during the live broadcast. Whether it’s a throwback classic, a brand-new track, or a song that means something personal, requests go straight into the queue.

The result is a constantly evolving playlist that reflects the mood of the audience in real time.

Turn It Up Tuesday also features a few signature segments that keep the show moving:

Listener Request Runs
Multiple request blocks throughout the night where Mandy plays tracks chosen by the audience.

Dedication Drops
Listeners can dedicate songs to friends, partners, coworkers, or anyone who deserves a shoutout.

Throwback Shock
A surprise nostalgic track that instantly takes listeners back in time.

Mandy’s Wild Card
One track Mandy can’t stop playing that week — often a song listeners end up adding to their own playlists.

The Heavy was created to be more than just a playlist stream. It’s a community-driven station where music, conversation, and creativity collide.

Turn It Up Tuesday perfectly captures that spirit. Some nights the playlist becomes nostalgic, some nights chaotic, and sometimes it becomes the unexpected mix you didn’t know you needed.

And that’s exactly why listeners keep coming back.

Whether you’re working late, gaming, driving home, or just relaxing, Turn It Up Tuesday is a place where the audience helps shape the soundtrack.

Listen live. Drop a request. Turn it up.
